Why Alabama Republicans like to shoot themselves in the foot?

Roy Moore (R-AL) was the Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court and attempted (and failed) to run for the U.S. Senate in 2017, only to lose to a Democrat in Alabama, which was politically unusual for a state that is overwhelmingly Republican-leaning state.

Why Alabama Republicans?

Roy Moore is leading ...again, in the Alabama Republican Primary in 2020 to get a Republican candidate to try to unseat Democratic incumbent, Doug Jones. Republicans are doing it again, making it harder for the party to recapture Alabama, now luckily for the GOP, Roy hasn't announced his candidacy yet, but if he does, brace yourselves for six-years of Doug Jones.

So why Alabama Republicans like losing more than they like to win? They got nothing better to do that's why, so they're gonna go with THE LOSER who thought it was a good idea to run a "Christian Jihad" campaign and no matter the child molestation allegations, thinking he'll win anyway, but no, he lost ...BADLY, to Doug Jones, although wasn't a landslide, he lost so bad that he lost in a margin outside the percentage that would trigger a recount under Alabama law.

So what happens if Roy Moore runs again in 2020, probably a six-year era with Doug Jones, and the Democrats having an easier time pushing back the Republicans' majority that they increased in 2018 by a couple of seats, in other words, Roy Moore might basically screw the Senate Republicans ...AGAIN! Just like he screwed the Republicans' Senate majority by decreasing their majority from 52-48 to 51-49 seats, thus making the U.S. Senate so vulnerable to a slim Democratic majority (that was ironically dashed in the 2018 U.S. midterm elections).

A Miracle for Doug Jones?

U.S. Senator Doug Jones (D-AL) is running for reelection in 2020 in a not-so-safe state.
Just if we thought the Alabama Republicans couldn't be even stupider. So much for the fall of Doug Jones huh Republicans? Oh, don't worry Republicans, if Roy Moore wins that little primary of your's, IT'S OVER! Your goal of restoring Alabama's Republican string has been dashed by Roy Moore and his mental instability and his Christian Jihadism. A victory for Democrats and a loss for Republicans more than it was in 2017 when Roy Moore's loss was more of a win for Republicans, and a loss for Democrats in a blur vision.

Doug Jones is probably looking at this and hoping for Roy Moore to announce his candidacy.

Will Donald Trump endorse Roy Moore?

We'll see, the last time Trump endorsed another candidate other than Roy Moore, his candidate lost, and the last time Trump endorsed Roy Moore, ROY MOORE LOST! There might be a chance the 2020 Alabama race could be more like the 2017 Alabama race.
